The quick take

A man with gaps in his memory and a second voice in his head is dragged into an ancient conflict that starts in Egypt. Darker and stranger than most of the franchise.

Nothing. It stands alone.

No homework needed. You can start right here.

The bigger picture

A museum worker who suffers from blackouts discovers he shares his body with someone else, and both are caught in a conflict between ancient gods. It is the most psychological series in the franchise.

Optional for the main thread. A good pick if you want something different in tone.
