The quick take

The team goes looking for the perfect gift for their leader and ends up bringing back a very surprised guest. A light, festive stocking-filler that sits between the second and third films.

The bigger picture

Set between Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians Vol. 3, it keeps the team's irreverent humor and adds holiday cheer and music. It offers small character moments rather than anything the main story depends on.
